Channel 4, just finished now.

The story of a 36 year old man with a terrible skin affliction and dying of cancer. It chronicles the final 4 months of his life.

I'm so glad I watched this. Such a roller coaster of emotions, very uplifting one minute and incredibly gutting the next. He was constantly able to joke about his terrible condition, with a sense of humour I found commendable for someone facing such adversity.

Puts all trivial concerns into perspective, and reminds you what is really important in life.

This sort of thing is what televisions should be used for. If more people in the world were forced to watch such things, there would be far less prejudice in the world. And a lot more would be done to help those who are afflicted.

Anyone else see it?

I didn't say it was better or try and get attention. Just had to point out how hypocritical some people on these forums are...idiots.

Hypocritical idiots. I tell you all about a movie about how a young girl who grew up living in a broken home, two alcoholic parents, one's also a druggie, they both have aids, she's had to stay out school to look after them when they're smashed, her Dad leaves her at about 10, her mum dies when the girls about 16, she ends up living on the strets for years before graduating at the top of her class at a High School for under privilaged kids while holding down a part time job so she could eat at night while sleeping on the streets. In fact she does so well she gets a scholarship and goes to Harvard after such a terrible background. It's a true story and that IS also uplifting but you all just said it was "Hallmark Channel" guff. Pfft hypocrites.

I caught the end of it, only half watching it though. My mum was watching it and she just bawled her eyes out at the end, made me wanna cry too.

I wish I had watched it too but from the end what i could see he seemed to be able to cope rather well.
