After watching tonights game even though we didn't win but my god Touré was immense he looked solid, had overall good decision making, made well timed crucial tackles, blocks and interceptions and he used his strength pretty well.

I really thought he was a a class above anyone else in our team today maybe even Man of the Match not forgetting that the rest of our defence was pretty solid and Pires SCORED with a HEADER but we didn't play as well as we could of.. but we worked our socks off overall and never dropped our heads after conceding. Anyway back to praising Touré he is the most improved player of the season and I wouldn't be suprised if he won Arsenal player of the year!

When in goal, 'tis generally better to be able to catch than to kick!

Of course if you can do both, which neither of ours can... ;-)

Hey! It looks like you're now the ones stuck with the "Can't Kick-er", like Barthez! :P

Yeah, they're pretty s**t. That's why Arsenal are unbeaten.

Campbell is solid.

Cole is solid if a bit hot-headed sometimes

Lauren is usually dependable, but is more prone to the 'off' game than he perhaps should be.

Toure has been a revelation this season - I'd rather have him in there than Keown or Cygan, and he's better than many other "known" defenders. He was given a chance this season, and he's certainly taken it. In fact, in several games, he's been better than Campbell.

Could be worse.

We could have Tim "F#?k, I've dropped it" Howard. :-)

personally i think the aresnal defence is pretty dire. Campbell is the only top notch player in it, cole is on the fringes of that category and if he calmed down a bit might well be in it.

Lauren is diabolical, bought as an attacking righ midfielder it really shows, as he is often cught out and to be honest his tackling is quite poor.

Toure is ok, the reason for the praise is a bit unfounded, its a case of we've found some one less leaky than Cygan and who can move with out the aid of a zimmer frame, ahen keown.

Toure is alright but is by no means along term option.

Good question! But he's allowed one loose ball per game, as long as it's not directly in front of goal. :-)

Speaking of passing exactly who was Toure passing to with that crossfield ball? Did someone use the old playground trick of *Oi mate over here* and he just leathered it across the park?

Don't think there was much wrong with Lehmann tonight. There were a couple of mad scrambles, but they can be forgiven, because he was trying to prevent possible corners - and I couldn't tell who the ball had come off of last! I certainly don't blame him for the goal Chelsea scored. He got to the ball first and leathered it - and although there was no faulting the finish, Gudjohnsen was very fortunate with the bounce of the ball. He even admitted as much after the game.

As for Toure - what can I say? Easily Arsenal's most improved player, and he was pretty much impassable tonight. Considering his relative inexperience and the world class players he's been up against, he's been utterly amazing.
