I really thought he was a a class above anyone else in our team today maybe even Man of the Match not forgetting that the rest of our defence was pretty solid and Pires SCORED with a HEADER but we didn't play as well as we could of.. but we worked our socks off overall and never dropped our heads after conceding. Anyway back to praising Touré he is the most improved player of the season and I wouldn't be suprised if he won Arsenal player of the year!

You are a little bit bitter about that goal aren't you. They say you earn your luck, and I think Eidur's finish last night earnt that little bit of luck.

I'll give you Barthez but how on earth can you have a dig at Schmeichel? The man was the greatest keeper the Prem has ever seen.
And dare i mention a certain pony tailed muppet who can't catch anything above his head?

Well, you're used to it, having had Schmeical, Barthez and now Howard... :-)

Well... ;-)
What I mean is, I don't believe he cost us anything. The Chelsea goal did have a large slice of good fortune about it, as Gudjohnsen himself said after the game.
Lehmann got there, and on any other day, the ball wouldn't have fallen quite so kindly. More often than not, it would have ricocheted out of play. It was just bad luck for Lehmann.
I know he has cost us a few goals, but I certainly don't blame him for the goal last night.
He did have a few flaps, but they didn't cost us, so he did enough.

An Arsenal fan making fun of another teams goalkeeper, hehe the irony of it all

Well if we want to talk about recent records then Chelsea have no chance. However, in realistic, actual terms...they still have no chance.

Lehmann couldn't catch a cold, let alone a football.
And as for Neil Sullivan....

Which game were you watching?
You need a new keeper. He was awful. He flapped. He missed. He dropped. And his kicking looked dodgy at times.
And I know all about poor goalkeeping. Remember? we have Neil Sullivan.....
Even the Chelsea goal - as I've said, though very well taken - was a large slice of good fortune with the bounce of the ball.
Chelsea did play extremely well, Arsenal were... not at their best by a long way; wayward passing and too slow in possession, getting caught on the ball much easier than usual.
But for all that, Chelsea didn't create that many clear-cut chances, I felt. For about 10 minutes after they scored, I thought we struggled. After that, it was pretty even.
I'm sure Arsenal can get through in the home leg, but they must do better. For all the 'advantage' of an away goal, Chelsea haven't lost an away game in the CL this season.
