After watching tonights game even though we didn't win but my god Touré was immense he looked solid, had overall good decision making, made well timed crucial tackles, blocks and interceptions and he used his strength pretty well.

I really thought he was a a class above anyone else in our team today maybe even Man of the Match not forgetting that the rest of our defence was pretty solid and Pires SCORED with a HEADER but we didn't play as well as we could of.. but we worked our socks off overall and never dropped our heads after conceding. Anyway back to praising Touré he is the most improved player of the season and I wouldn't be suprised if he won Arsenal player of the year!

It was probably his hair getting in his eyes that caused such poor errors in the first place

Maybe he should have used his pony tail to swipe at the ball when he couldn't reach those nayim style efforts ;-)

i am highly unimpressed with this criticism of david seaman, he had 1 slightly dodgy season and a couple of high profile errors in a huge unblemished career. In fairness to him he couldn't have done anything about his two highest profile ones either, Nayim was the biggest fluke ever, 90% of keepers would have been beaten by it, just plain bad luck.

Ronaldinho's he was blameless too, i'm 95% sure it was a mishit, but seaman can't be blamed.

Maybe should have stopped at arsenal a season earlier but who can blame him for wanting to extend such a talented career.

what a career what a legend.

Seaman was an outstanding 'keeper for Arsenal. Yes, he should have retired one - maybe two - seasons earlier than he did, but other than that, he was always reliable... and far less eccentric! :-)

One mistake, i'd much rather have the great dane inbetween the sticks instead of David *Oh crap it's gone over my head again* Seaman

No no, don't get me wrong - not bitter about it at all, and that's the honest truth. Just saying, the way the ball rebounded was more than a little fortunate.

Gudjohnsen still had a lot to do, and it was a quality finish - I take nothing away from that at all. Just that we all know 9 out of 10 times, the ball would fall anywhere but there!

Whether they got it through luck or not, Chelsea were definitely worthy of at least one goal last night.

I remember the time he sliced a clearance across his own goal for someone to tuck into the back of the net. Worse than anything Seaman ever did, or Lehmann has done... yet!
