Rock on!
I have to be polite about Metallica, Bon-Jovi AND Iron Maiden in here?
*Develops nervous tic*
Best long song ever: Dry County by Bon Jovi! Fantastically long solo. Great stuff.
I didn't expect that, although the song they did with Rob Zombie on vocals was a big clue that they hadn't packed up and gone home.

It turns out it was A Nation On Fire, especially the bit near the end where it speeds up. One night I thought he was singing "I can't see an aardvark!" ...
Don't do drugs, kids!

It's a damn good album, but a tad long at 55 minutes. But then, with epics such as 'Master of Puppets' and 'Disposable Heroes', it is well worth purchasing/pirating.
(This is about Metallica, incase you haven't been following)
As I'd said, I've already heard the contents of the 3CD's and was impressed very muchly, I believe it was all recorded from the tour which followed the release of the black album, Mexico City 1993 apparently. It's great and it's got all the classics on like Enter Sandman, Battery, MoP, FWTBT etc.
There are two DVD's; one which pretty much has a similar setlist to the CD's, but apparently from San Diego 1992, anyway, 20 songs on there and they all rock.
The second DVD which I haven't had much of a chance to look yet at contains a concert from a couple of years before that (1989) which is pre black album, but after And Justice For All, so it's got all the songs like One and Harvester Of Sorrow. It's probably good, I've only seen the first few minutes of it.
So, conclusion: well worth my 20something pounds from Amazon. If you can afford it you really should buy it. And if you can't, you never know, you might get lucky and see a copy in Oxfam you could steal...
And there's a 20 minute version of Seek and Destroy on CD2 (I think), worth a listen. Oh and there's some mini movie thing at the start but I haven't watched that.
The only albums I've got that go on over fifty minutes are 'La Sexorcisto' by White Zombie, along with 'Master of Puppets' and 'And Justice for All' by Metallica. And that's only because they rawk. :)
Anyway, if you want long songs get Train Of Thought by Dream Theater(/Theatre), 7 songs with a total length of 70 minutes. I'm sure you can work out the average for yourself.
