Rented this last night, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The action scenes are so utterly over the top - it's just brilliant. The story seems to have been contrived not to give the action some kind of meaning, but to simply cram in as many fantastic scenes as possible.

Fantastic cast too - perhaps not all used to their maximum potential, but with such a large cast, that was never going to be possible. Johnny Depp is great, contriving everything that goes on for ther most part, as a CIA agent, that wears a t-shirt with CIA on it in big letters.

I urge everyone to see this movie, it's absolutely crazy, but in a very good way.

I seen it last night. And being a fan of the series I liked it. I know the action sequences were like so tongue in cheek. But the multi-scenario story was a nice change. And how good was Enrique?!! Well he did his part well is all I'm gunna say.

I preferred Desperado myself. It wasn't bad, but Desperado was certainly much better - except Desperado didn't have r/c bombs :D

Once Upon A Time in Mexico

Funny, totally OTT and Depp is wonderful in it. Particularly, the fact that if you wanted to know what was being said you had to watch it with English subtitles on.

That would seem a tad out of place in an anime.

EDIT: Probably not.

You to dance around a maypole, singing how Angel is great and you want to marry Spike.

Then I shall be content.

Hey, it had Cliff from Cheers as a frog. What more can you ask for?

it's coming out on dvd soon. It was good but I think it could have been better, not my favourite Ghibli.

Still....river. Brilliantly animated film all the same, but still.

If it made sense, it wouldn't be anime.
