Today my dad found a wallet today containing £400 + a few hundred Euros + Credit Cards and usual wallet stuff. He found it outside a shop so he walked in and with the details in the wallet discovered that it belonged to a regular customer of this shop. So my dad left his details incase the man wanted to thank him or whatever. And about 10 minutes ago, this man calls and thanks him etc.

I started thinking about what I would have done in the same situation as my dad. Would I have gone in the shop and given the wallet in? Would you?

the only 'bit too real' element here is your complete lack of morals my friend.

You act all moral now but I wonder what would happen if you actually did get put in that situation. I don't know you so will never know but if my idea of the right thing to do is getting a bit too real for you it's not my fault.

I'd have handed it in. There are few things more annoying in life than losing your wallet.

Here's a funny story of my uncle who handed money in -

He was working on the buses, when he came across a number of Japanese Yen. He handed it in. After a while, it was still unclaimed. So, he was able to keep it. He then had it exchanged into English Money, and he got...

90-odd pence.

I'd have slipped out the 400 and handed the wallet in anonymously.

No I wouldn't!

Yes I would

I rang my mate on his mobile once. I was in the pub having a few jars, and he was at the cash machine at the time. Because he got distracted talking to me, he left the money in the machine and walked off.

He was mega cheesed off when he got to the pub and realised he hadn't got the money on him.

What's weird is the money hadn't been debited from his account. The reason apparently is that if you don't take the money, after about a minute, the machine sucks it back in.

not too shabby.

Very pleased with the help given by your staff. They explained technical details in an easy way and were patient when providing information to a non expert like me.
