But Freeman isn't a bumbling fool. He's arrogant and unlovable. Arthur was so frustrated with it all but you couldn't argue that he was endearing. If Freeman plays him in the same way he's played characters in The Office and Hardware, then it'll be terrible. It worked in The Office, because he was a sort of voice of sanity. But for the Guide it'd be absolutely the worst thing ever. I'd hang myself. But not before burning every reel of the film in existence and murdering everyone who saw it so as to wipe out its memory also.
Its appalling. Simply a rubber head and not a real one at all ;)
Bill Nighy as Slartibartfast and Sam Rockwell as Zaphod are perfect (by the looks from IMDB), and I can't see a problem with a black Ford Prefect.
The thing I do have a problem with is the pre-production designs for Marvin, I just don't like it, it looks like a roboic fetus (I don't have a link at hand)
The one that was on Jonathan Ross?
