I just uninstalled the UDAgent thing-ma-bob from my PC. You know the one that does small-pox reasearch?

I found out (thanks to my brand, spanking new sidebar) that t'was taking up 57% of my CPU power and stuff.

So it went.

By the way, it's "feel" and not "feal".

It has no real effect on your CPU, it's just using up the time thats free for it.

Now that you haven't got it running, you'll only be using about 3% of your CPU time, which could be going to save the world....

My PC is dying, I think I'll pass on these uber-research things. Anyway, my sidebar rocks.

I ran UD. It is supposed to use as much of the CPU power. But what happens is that it is set at the lowest priority, so when you open Word, it gets all the CPU for as long as it needs. Which is like 3 seconds until it loads, then only 1% leaving UD with the other 99%.

You burn a CD and it might fall to only 50% say. That is how it works.

But take the opportunity and run Find A Drug instead.

So if someone gets small pox, will you offer them that CPU power back?
