"So you think Arsenal can do the Treble?"

I was looking at the fixture list earlier, and it's a nightmare. I'll be happy if we come out of it with one trophy, let alone three!

I don't think it's going to be a problem with ability, but tiredness - and potentially, therefore, injury - could play a major part.

March

April (a killer month)
Sat 3rd - N - Man Utd - FA Cup Semi Final
Tue 6th - H - Chelsea - Champion's League Quarter Final 2nd leg
Sat 10th - H - Liverpool - Premiership
Mon 12th - A - Newcastle - Premiership
Fri 16th - H - Leeds - Premiership
Tue/Wed 20th/21st - possible Champion's League Semi Final 1st leg
Sat 24th - A - Spurs - Premiership

May (a little easier)
Sat 1st - H - Birmingham - Premiership
Tue/Wed 4th/5th - possible Champion's League Semi Final 2nd leg
Sat 8th - A - Fulham - Premiership
Sat 15th - H - Leicester - Premiership
Sat 22nd - possible FA Cup Final
Wed 26th - possible Champion's League Final


PLUS we also have a postponed away game with Portsmouth to be slotted in there somewhere, and I've no doubt the FA will manage to choose the most inconvenient date that they possibly can! Right now, they're probably pondering whether they could get away with scheduling on Sunday 11th April, right between Liverpool on the 10th and Newcastle on the 12th!

The only plus-point I can think of is that we got Chelsea in the Champion's League; the lack of required travelling may be a small help to us.

April could be make-or-break for the whole season, and we might well need all of that 9-point cushion.

Nothing's over yet, whatever the press may say.

So, fellow Gooners... still feeling confident? :-)

Arsenal WILL beat real madrid, who they will NOT beat is Ac Milan, No way in a million years they are gonna get more then one goal, (It's gonna be thierry's worst nightmare) Nesta, Maldini, Costacurta, Cafu....
And arsenal I doubt will keep a clean sheet, they will be attacking a team with the best counter in the world...
With Andriy Shevchenko, Fillipo Inzaghi, John Dahl Tommasson and Kaka
thats a lethal attack..
and with, Serginho, Rui Costa, Seedorf, gatusso, Pirlo and Redondo
things do not look good.
They got a keeper who saves penaltys for fun aswell in Dida, even though he does suck on crosses, but then... arsenal never cross do they???
(well, not often) How are they supposed to play there usual counter attack tactics against a defensive Rock like AC???????

I'd rather we concentrate on the FA Cup match and give you the Prem game. :-)

Well, I for one, hope they don't rest anyone for the FA Cup Semi Final, cause I don't want any excuses when we beat them! :-)

I see no reason why Arsenal aren't good enough to win the European cup. It's about time they performed consistently in Europe. As soon as they do so, they've got every chance of winning the thing.

As for the Premiership, yes that's in the bag. Since Christmas United followed Chelsea's lead and fell apart. There isn't enough time (or chance) for Arsenal to do the same before the close of the season. Neither United of Chelsea have a hope of catching them.

As for the FA cup, let's face it - The real final is on the 3rd of April. Arsenal need only win one match against United and then the formality of either Sunderland or Millwall.

Still, on the plus side at least that means we've still got a fair shout of picking up something this season. Hopefully you'll be resting your entire team in preparation fot the Chelsea match...

We're more than capable of beating madrid and with their defence on our day and if we defend well.

League? Yes you're going to win that as long as you don't have a disaster

FA Cup? Only got to beat a depleted injured United side and some nationwide team, you'll win that.

Champs League? Got to get past Madrid to win it and i don't see that happenening in a million years.


Still 2/3 ain't bad

We'll draw Madrid or monaco in the semi's if we beat chelski anyway..

Providing Arsenal don't become complecant, I don't see any reason as to why they won't do the Treble.

And I'd love to see a Madrid - Arsenal CL Semi-Final, just to measure how far Arsenal have come.
