I am going to start to try and learn Visual Basic, i was wondering what software i would have to use to start coding a program.
Do i have to buy any software?

This probably won't help in any way, but might as well share my (limited) knowledge.
If you make a new text document, and type the code there, then save as a .vbs file, it works.

Is there anyway to access it without using excel, but just as a stand alone program?
Yeah sure.
Is it possible to code a program by pressing:
ALT + F11 in excel and using that VB program?
