I have been looking for a job for the past 5 weeks, loads a job interviews were for nothing and im always losing out to people out of school.

Does any one else have this problem?

Christ, if you talk like that during interviews it's no surprise you haven't got a job yet.

ok first of all i do do the job interviews and i always get a letter back from the job i want sayin that my job was personalised or summin an that my job has gone to more appropriate persons.

This jus means that yer at school an yer not gettin the job

I was half an hour late to an interview once. They still offered me the job.
True story.

It's probably because you're crap at interviews. Get less crap at it and you'll get a job no problemo.

You see the thing is I want a weekend job that doesnt interfere with my school work but at the same time gives me a bit of money and gives me time to do what i want.

This may be a bit farfeched but it is possible (i think)

I want something short term, until september, but something that *won't* be mind-numbing, minimum wage paying and soul destroying.

I'm not optomistic.


If you're getting lots of interviews but no more, you may want to look at your interview technique.
However, if it's not a part time job out of school you're looking for, flexible people without school commitments are probably in a better position than you.
You may have to get some lame monkey-work. I used to was up at a local restaurant at weekends. It sucked. Before, I couldn't do stuff because I had no money. When I got the job I couldn't do stuff because I had no time.

Well it looks like most people get there jobs from unzipped topics but it is true to get a job in todays world for a school kid is hard.

I cant get a job now.

ITs well annoying trying to get a job there is no hope for people at school.
