Michael Stipe might be gay. No one really knows. And Peter Buck suffers from air rage. But who cares? Their music is damn good.
BTW, Try using shift, and the using the term 'they're'. =P

I own Origin of Symmetry, it's not that good. Alright, but a bit samey and I wouldn't buy another Muse record because it'll just sit in the rack.

Winnebago Deal. Seen em live twice, when I did the first time a mate mentioned a Nirvana influence... Didn't really see it meself. Still didn't when I got the mini-album thing ("Plata O Plomo"), but the second time I saw em live I did see the Nirvana in there. Me and another mate had a long conversation about how to describe the style of them, he said a cross between Nirvana and Metallica, we read the bakc of a flier that described them as "basement metal" (as opposed to garage-rock)...
Anyway, they kick the proverbial buttock.

I was listing them as just good bands since then. Of course Nirvana did not influence them all, but they did have a big impact.
To say that there hasn't been is to disregard some real genius - ATDI/mars Volta (Bixler & Rodriguez), Pumpkins (Corgan/Iha etc), Walter Schrieffels, Jeff Buckley, Dave Pajo etc.

You're clearly getting Muse mixed up with Coldplay, or something.
Go listen to Showbiz or Origin of Symmetry...then listen to Abslution...
> Dredg for one! MOO!
Yes, Dredg are excellent. But bearing in mind I did say "as a result of Nirvana and the grunge movement".

Most of those bands I wouldn't class as anything special. Rage are good, but you can't have Audioslave if you have Rage and Soundgarden. Pumpkins? Don't rate them. Same for Radiohead. Foo Fighters are over rated. All Muse songs sound pretty much the same. Metallica were around before Nirvana. The others I either haven't heard anything/much of, or just can't be bothered to type about.
None of the bands are great, except Dredg - who I wouldn't say took anything from the grunge movement as far as that is possible.
> Nah, the Chilis always do their own thing.
I was listing good bands since 1991.
I know.
