I found out about this job on friday evening, e-mailed for an application form.
It'd have been posted monday, arrived today, and the closing date is noon on the 11th.
So assuming I have my dates right, I need to put it in the post, first class, before collection tomorrow and I'll be okay.

The job is to be a lifeguard until September.
I'm down to the 'Further Information' box, which has to be the deal-breaker, at least for insuring an interview.
I figure I can mention sports I play and being fit and healthy, though I'd probably better leave out my life-long admiration for Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff (in case they mistake it for a reference to porn and nightrider).

So, I don't have much time, but what can I say to make sure I get an interview?
This job sees me through until I start my masters, gives me a chance to get some money together and could be my only shot at avoiding a summer soul-destroying miserable labour.
So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah Liverpool, but Leicester, Manchester & Leeds seem cool too so I won't be devastated if I don't get into Liverpool (however I will if I don't get into any of my choices!)

I can only guess that was an insult, what with me not being able to read it an all.

Mention punctuality and attendance, and that you enjoy working around people, you are alert. Then there's not much more you can say, to fill it up maybe you could put stuff about your personality, I always put on an application/say in an interview that I have a good sense of humour and will bring energy to the group, motivating everyone to be happier, they're a sucker for that as it saves them a job, but I don't know if that would be relevant to you - would you have other staff around you?

I don't think they would expect too much, as what would somebody else say that isn't pretentious or blatant lying? So just mention your hobbies, but more in sentence style rather than one word hobbies. Also you don't need to fill the whole thing up, just fill out half. I think they'll basically go for the person with the most experience as long as they can string some basic English together, which is probably what that bit is about.

This is true of course but, if it makes you feel any better, I got my date of birth wrong on my UCAS form and they still let me in.

jeez, I just realised, I'd actually put in '02, then turned the 2 into a 3 thinking I'd got it wrong. Muppet.

Oh well, the 3s turned into 2s quite easily and the 2s into 1s weren't all that bad. The 4s into 3s look messy though, and the whole thing makes me look like a bit of a nob.

Oh well, it's a bit late to get a new application form now (see original post). I'll have to hope all the other applicants are total idiots too :^)

Oh F***!

I just realised, I put 2004 instead of 2003.
Hell, all the dates on my past employment thing are a year out, because I worked back from that.

What a prize f***ing mong I am :^[
