"Ouch..."

I am really, really upset now. I just found out that someone I had been flirting with and had been flirting back with me for about a month now met up with an old friend last Saturday and now they are going out. OUCH! I am really upset now, I guess I just felt I could take my time and that no one else would try. God I'm an idiot to let her get away. Apart from anything else she's stunning and I REALLY liked her as a person. I probably never had a shot anyway but damn it hurts now. *sigh* Oh well, *puts on soup for one and buys a dog for companionship*

I'm not telling him to give up, I'm asking him to consider the fact that it wasn't meant to be, where as you are saying 'console yourself with the fact that one day she will be yours'. He has no way of knowing that, and to think such a thing can only be damaging, especially if she were to get further and further away.

And as far as I can gather, he's only known her for a month - how can he possibly know whether they are suited or not?

hope is what he has at the moment, i think you should let him have it.

no, that's obsessive, you'll just rip yourself up thinking like that. she may be very happy with who she is with, you have to consider the fact that you and her aren't going to be together .....

if you really like her you will be able to get past the fact she has someone else, you should console yourself with the fact that one day she will be yours.

At least you didn't hear she snogged someone down a club or something while you liked her. Mega ouch although you'll know she's drunk and that but even then if you find someone you know who has girlfriend did it, it hurts muchly..

well, what I should add to that is that I value being friends with a girl far more than anything more. anyone can get wasted up town, stumble into a girl, stick their tongue down her throat, go home with her and throw one up her - friendship is more important.

of course the ultimate goal is to have both, but I haven't found that yet.

it's about more than getting them into the sack, if that is your only motive then it would have been obvious.
if you truly care about someone,you wouldnt be so disrespectful.
