I remember one time I had to think of a way to transfer a movie onto a computer in the other room. We didnt have any free CDs or a flash drive. We gave MSN a try though thought it would take days, but it transfered in seconds.

That's standard for an Ethernet-based network. That doesn't mean anything about your internet speed though. That's just the speed of your network card, which is probably connected to a router or something. It's not the speed of your internet connection though.

If I hover above the connection in the bottom right of the screen it says it's running at 100mbps is that fast?

Apart from the upload that's quite slow :S you did click the UK server right? heh

But according to my BT router, baring in mind we are on 2Mb broadband:

Upload: 288kbps
