I don't see how the "GameCube failed".

No online.

No 'Goldeneye'.

A real 'dumbed-down' approach to many titles.

F-Zero and Mario Kart weren't exactly great.

Next to no decent 4 player games involving deathmatches.

Completely unlike the N64 sequel everyone wanted.

A pretty poor showing for anyone after a deep multiplayer experience.

I thought F-Zero was good. Though I did want the tracks to be more insane.

No, you are sensible.

At the time it was released, I didn't think it was a great console...but now that hindsight is 20/20, I think the system did quite well...Zelda Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, and so on...the system was worth playing. But I don't think it beats its predecessor, the Super NES.

N64 was certainly the most entertaining console (closely rivaled by the C64).

Zelda, decent Fifa games, Banjo, GoldenEye, etc.

They were all legendary.



But I gave it all away to my family members up north who liked consoles and had some young kiddies.

It had the best offline multiplayer.

Xbox Live beats it now, but offline: the N64 is still king.
