focus your attention? I know this girl in my school who takes them every few hours in school, before exams and so on to help her concentrate and focus her attention. Now I have two vital exams tomorrow but I'm finding it REALLY hard to concentrate. Do you know anything that could help me get focussed? Thanks

A friend of mine used to take those in Primary School years ago. Never talked about them much, he was afraid of ridicule - you know how Primary School kids can be- bullying little prats.

True but if turning us into machines involves raising the bar in childhood intelligence I'm all for it. Although I'm sure there would be horrible, horrible side effects...

It sounds damn stupid to me. Fair enough if you need a few qualifications at 40, but it should be the teacher's job to motivate and encourage students - not medicine.

Think of the side affects; what's going to happen when you stop using the drug? It's another step closer to turning us into machines.

Yeh but they don't give it to everyone they give it to people who would have failed say 20 years ago but can reach their full potential with the drug now. Is a good thing in my opinion although I don't actually have anything wrong with me so I doubt they'd prescribe me it.

Dexedrine im SOPPOSED to take but i dont. them sort of drugs make you drowsy and a have a huge list of Side effects.

If i were you i wouldnt bother there really bad for you mentally and phiscially. I used to take them but i stopped after not having a dream in months and i still havent dreamed for ages. Youre probably thinking well how do you know it was them? it was them i know.

They alter your thought and change the way you think. Dont take them even if youre doctor says there sopposed to make you concentrate better. Its you life make the right decision.

Christ, what are exams testing these days?

You're ability to memorise things? To concentrate? To revise?

If people can take pills to enhance their performance then it appears to be testing more physical things than intelligence.

Forget the pills, pull your socks up and do your best.

I thought you were going to say you wont get it until you get a prescription but whatever. I just googled it and apparently I need to have ADHD to get a prescription. Buh.
