My computer keeps having to shut down every few minutes due to some random system failure. It gives me 1 minute to stop everything I'm doing then restarts. It's really annoying because I'm trying to revise for two tests and I am doing past paper questions and reading over things on the net. Do any of you know what might be causing it or have an idea how to fix it? If it comes down I'll make a note of exactly what it says and post it here but any help you can give now would be much appreciated, thanks guys and gals.

Yeah..you should have a Firewall to...there's a good FREE Firewall here:

It pretty much installs itself...you just need to tell it what to allow through a few times and your set :)

Even if you remove windows from your system and reinstall it , the virus will keep coming back , the only thing you can do is to install a firewall . Norton used to be ok with me , but I don't use it anymore because the license has expired , so I just use win 98

Eek it's found 20 infected files so far:S It's managed to disinfect them all though. Hopefully after rebooting my computer the computer will be totally fixed:D

I'm trying that Panda scan now and I'll see what it turns up.
