One thing has struck me like a bolt of lightning about these forums.

"Sides"

It seems to all be about taking "sides". In singular, independent arguments - fine. All arguments, more or less, basically have 2 or so sides.

But there seems to be some kind of running thing. Like some pathetic mass of playground kiddies.
Past confrontations lead to future side-taking, no matter the argument in the fray.

It's really, really stupid. And I really don't think very many people can claim not to have done this. Hell, I certainly know *I* can't.

So why can't everyone just get along, and take each subject/argument for what it is, and not take preducial sides?

Yeah. The spam has just gotten out of hand. In the past, you would get new users, they might be a bit daft at first, but then they bucked up their act and tried to emulate the decent users.

But now we have retards, and regulars emulating them. Now, there is a bit of a difference between posting something that is bordering on spam, but then in General Chat you can get away with that.

But we've recently moved so far away from that the line is now a dot.

And as for general stupidness, this condition on an ebay auction says it all:

Whilst people find this funny and good television, the world hasn't a hope.

Seriously, there's little point being serious, it gets gatecrashed by the usual suspects.

I keep myself to myself, I won't take sides.

But sometimes certain forum members create their own little "circle of mates" and cyber with each other on MSN, and ganging up on other forum members.

Its a sad fact really, We've lost quite a few decemt posters, people like Borat, Biggles, Timmargh etc.

one thing that has struck me about these forums recently is that they have gone completely shat, and now the majority of the population don't have enough braincells to tie their own shoe.

De-militarised zone. When you have two sides and want to stop them fighting you get a DMZ set up between them - neither side can attack the other and claim it was a mistake.
