After an aborted attampt to do something with bamboo (the less said about that the better!), I'm going to respray another.
I'm in 2 minds about how to do it at the moment though. At first I was going to put a black stripe across the lid and down the front, and spray the front grey bit black. Maybe do one of the vents black too.
Then at the diy store I was looking at the paints, and a nice brown went pretty well with purple. Maybe just do the grey bits in brown.
Or I could go for a combination of the two.

Can't believe anyone actually wanted a purple one. Black one's look far better.
Personally, I love my black cube as it is - it owns PS2 and XB by a long stretch. Never understood people's problem with it.
The only thing is that I was hoping to avoid painting around the buttons, as my open button was a little 'sticky' when I did the blube.
Viper GC doesn't look that great. The impression that I get is that it's only good for pirated cube games. If I find out otherwise I may reconsider.

Surely you'd get that problem however you paint it?
I'm thinking you should do every single bit white. That weird, ethereal, iPodesque white. Perhaps a few subtle silver touches.
Make sure you change the colour of the on light to a different colour, too.
A brilliant white LED? Blue would look cool, also.
