I checked on this site in case some mistake had been made with the JE release and thats when I saw GunGriffon was out and in stock. Never heard of this coming out and don't know of any reviews of it (which is normally a bad thing). But besides it being a mech game, it also had Tecmo's name on the cover so I thought sod it, they've earned the benefit of the doubt and grabbed it.
Played the first mission and I think its pretty cool actually. Not the sexiest graphics ever, but its a fun shooter. Also XBox Live playable so I'll have to try that later. I picked up the last one in SR Basildon and my cousin picked up a copy in Gamestation.
I think anyone who picked up the likes of Phantom Crash all that time ago are the ones that will probably find plenty to like in this game. Its kinda like Steel Battalion, only with a normal controller.
Didn't even see it on the Game website. Very quiet release for this one.
TS3 has actually suffered a fair bit from this, T-S-3!
Some you can just keep on the move and circle them, but the nastier ones like the Mammoth need a bit more movement and heavier shots to get them down quick.
As for Live, er, interesting is the word. Theres an online co-op, which I'll have to report on later cause I'll need my cousin to get on. Why ? Well lets say that if you're looking to be at the top of an XBox Live scoreboard, this is definatly the game to aim for it on. Due to the fact that the overall scoreboard for all deathmatch results has a massive grand total of 8 players on it.
The guy at the top has played like 16 matches. And I thought Steel Battalion had a small community. ;-)
