My cousin got an email from SR today telling him Jade Empire was out and despite me telling him it wasn't, we decided to look anyway just for the sake of going for a drive to look at games and stuff.

I checked on this site in case some mistake had been made with the JE release and thats when I saw GunGriffon was out and in stock. Never heard of this coming out and don't know of any reviews of it (which is normally a bad thing). But besides it being a mech game, it also had Tecmo's name on the cover so I thought sod it, they've earned the benefit of the doubt and grabbed it.

Played the first mission and I think its pretty cool actually. Not the sexiest graphics ever, but its a fun shooter. Also XBox Live playable so I'll have to try that later. I picked up the last one in SR Basildon and my cousin picked up a copy in Gamestation.

I think anyone who picked up the likes of Phantom Crash all that time ago are the ones that will probably find plenty to like in this game. Its kinda like Steel Battalion, only with a normal controller.

Mr E was pretty cool and a shooter I can't remember the name of. Had Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr as well. Remember playing educational games on the thing too which my parents sneaked on - Olly the Octopus and his Maths games kept my attention for many an hour.

*Trying to picture a next generation version of Olly the Octopus...*

I had the BBC Micro. ;-) Bird Strike was a great game. Although I also liked Ghostbusters on the Commodore 64.

I used to get Play it Again Sam compilations for the BBC Master just to be on the safe side of getting some fun games.

Yeah I know what you mean. Like laughing at someone rather than with them. Thing is, when I had my NES years ago, I never used to get mags really and every game I picked was based on the box and screenshots on the back. Cool names always helped too. ;-)

That just don't work anymore. ;-))

Every game I've bought I've known about beforehand aside from New Legends which I bought for 8 quid and is certainly up there for weirdest game on Xbox. It's fun, but in all the wrong ways if you catch my drift.

And having the money to pizz away on one. Which is kinda rich coming from a bloke who managed to just go out and buy a game he probably shouldn't have when he knew nothing about it. ;-)

If you get Action Replay there's probably already a save on the net with that done to it.
