Lets just watch out, I reckon NIS will come back as somebody else (another new name), he will claim to be a newbie but lets hope we can work these people out, and then there are the name-changers, Tony I feel something should be done, when you join up to yahoo mail they don't give you the option to change your name, only under exceptional circumstances should SR allowed the name changing.

Bamboo, your idea would be good, but could be a diaster at the same time. imagine if you get someone that floods with nick changes. Someone could change their name like 100-200 times in just one day, meaning each person would recieve 200 emails just saying someone has changed their name.

You just said "message" so i am assuming you mean email, if you don't then im sorry.

Still, it would be good to know who people are when they change their nicks.

We should be able to change our names but when we confirm it we are all sent a message that the person has changed there name

Anyway, its confusing enough keeping up with new topics every day without people changing their names all the time too. But getting stuck with the first name you pick is not really the best option, the 30 day idea sounds good to me.

Anyway, I find it difficult enough remembering my name on a daily basis without even changing it.
