Aggressive tw*ts, drunks who just won’t listen, I can handle them
Immature kids who shout “pig’s”, I can put up with.
People who argue over tickets “I’ve only been here I minute”, I can deal with.

These are all everyday occurrences and ones that although they can be slightly irritating, do not make my job nasty.

A 16-year-old who is pregnant with her second kid and has been slapped around.
Indecent pictures of children.
Elderly people who’ve been robbed.

These are the things that get me down.

Back to the cop situation, I think I could probably end up being one in a few years. At least 50% of Strathclyde's police force will be retiring in the next 8 years so if I could get a job now a chance of a quick promotion could be a strong one.

But on a serious note, I dunno if I could handle it. As you've said, there are some pretty moronic and evil people around, which would take a lot out of you.

It's something I'll need to think about. Because I'm gonna have to choose a career soon anyway, I'll probably know what I want to do in a few weeks/months. Maybe.

Hate to say this, EB, but I expect you to be a pretty disillusioned and screwed in the head kind of guy a few years down the road. All the scum you see, the corruption, the filth, the sadism and the knowledge that you can't do anything about it except maybe arrest them so they'll get a cushy cell and a trial and who knows? They mightn't even get to prison. You're the Travis Bickle of the cop world.

Your job is tough - I am not sure I could do it... and most. You have guts and I am sure most people respect what you do. Even though all of what you'll see mostly is prejudice to you guys.

I know what you mean Borat - I ain't against animal rights, but humans DO have more rights and morals in relation to each other.

Dogs are slightly less complex than humans, it has to be said. Euthanasia is a different matter, and I appreciate your point.

However, a savage human mind cannot be compared to a savage dogs mind.
