I know. Although part of the reason with me was that I started uni when I was still 16, and so it was a big thrill being able to go and get drunk with folk like that. And for it to be an almost acceptable part of daily routine.

The pubs around the Uni love us first years. I think we drink more than the rest of the years combined

No student union? Weird.

There are always pubs round about though. Loads of them.

No, not really. We generally go to the pub down the road.

Don't they have them in Ireland? You know, a place on the university to go and get completely blootered?

Mostly. Got to head back up at the tale end of the week for some stuff, but have a few days off which is good, because I'm feeling wrecked to be honest.

I can handle pain pretty well, but headaches just about cripple me. I can't concentrate on anything, so it makes it amongst the worst things that could happen to me.

I'm not too bad at pool. Never played snooker. I've had a lousy weekend. Had a crap day at the hospital on Friday and I've had a sore throat since, with a headache that keeps coming and going.

Alright. Last week was hellish, but it's over now. And this week should involve lots of doing nothing.

Decent weekend though. Great company last night...

However I realised just how terrible I am at snooker today.
