Nah, FFF is right, your body won't give up and let you drown. What he means is that you cannot just jump in the water and slip beneath the surface without a struggle. People drown who throw themselves in the sea because they cannot rescue themselves or the power of the sea overcomes them.

I would rather drown. Then there is nothing you can do about it if you are in deep water.
