I ordered 512MB of PC4000 RAM with the aim of overclocking my 2.8 P4 to insane speeds, however as soon as I lift the FSB above 214 the system refuses to boot - exactly the same speed it stopped booting at when I tried this with PC3200 RAM!!!

STUUUUPID motherboard (Asus P4v800-x; based on VIA PT800 chipset) I have tried every timing combination my MoBo will allow me...

so its time for a spanking new P4 MoBo...

MUST be excellent overclocker, reasonable price would be good as well...any ideas please??

PS... thanks for the suggestion, lookout for used P4 MoBos on Ebay!!

PS lookup the ABIT IC7/IS7. I forget which one's better, Pentiums aren't my thang.
