This may fail, as personally, I can't really remember one to be honest.
Well, there is one actually, but the details of it are pants.

Anyway.
***

It doesn't necessarily need to be aesthetically pleasing, or a stunning 40 yard top corner screamer.

But has there been a goal that has stuck in your memory in ages, whether it be for the sheer suspense under which it was scored, eg, 90th minute cup final goal, or whether it was just a phenomenal goal.

One I can remember was near the beginning of this season - Tacchinardi for Juve against can't remember who.
All I remember is that it was the utmost driving snow, and it was one hell of a shot.
Some fair distance out, he just smacked it, and it rose up and up without dipping, and flew into the top corner.

Magnifíque. Dunno the Italian for it.

So, gogogo.

Ooh, ooh.

Another one was last season's (I think) Champions League.

A Zidane full volley from a few yards outside the penalty area.
It was a cross or something, and he just spun on one foot and hit it, and it went top corner.

Sheer genius.

Oh, would that be the OPEN GOAL that he missed? Yes, I *think* I remember that one. It was an OPEN GOAL, and he was under no pressure. But he still managed to miss the OPEN GOAL and put it over. Yes, I think I remember the OPEN GOAL that he missed.

;-p

Henry v ManYoo. Pretty much on the sideline, flicks it up, hammers over Barthez from about 30 yards.

The third of Kanu's hat-trick v Chelsea a few years ago - almost from the corner flag, scores to win the game.

Bergkamp's for Holland v the Argies, France '98 - 2 minutes after that dirty s**t Ortega butted the Dutch keeper.

That second one: One of thebest goals ever. Best ever scored in the Premiership, according to a MOTD poll a few years back. I think Beckham's one was also in the top 10.

I agree - that was fantastic.

And I've also recreated it in Pro Evo 3, with Real Madrid. Zidane cross out from a corner to Guti. Saved the replay. Might upload it to somewhere some day.

Two goal I will never forget are:

1) *THAT* Beckham goal against Wimbledon. It's just incredible. It showed even then the vision that the player had. He had only just received the ball, took a quick glance up, and whacked it, precisely, over Sullivan's head and into the back of the net from the half-way line. This is something that even Pele could not produce (not for lack of trying mind) in his heyday.

2) *THAT* Giggsy goal against Arsenal in the FA Cup. The great thing about that is that nobody expected him to shoot from the angle he found himself in after ghosting past the defence. Not the defence itself, not the united players, who swarmed into the penalty area expecting a cross, and not the 'keeper, who had no chance. That goal is the epitome of Giggs when he was at his finest.
