On the news tonight, they used the phrase "Cannabis, a drug tens of thousands of people choose to smoke each week". I think they are seriously underestimating how widespread its use is. I wager everyone on here knows somebody who smokes it, I certainly do. Could decriminalizing the drug work in this country? There are huge benefits for the government in the way that it would free up a lot of police time, which could be used for catching those dealing/possessing harder drugs.
Is there any point whatsoever in downgrading the drug as they have done?
Do you have any views on the drug, or the questions I have asked above?
You guys are the minority.
Thanks for the laugh lads; I'll be chuckling over this all weekend.
Back Tuesday, have fun all.
Remember kids, don’t be a waster, don’t smoke a joint! Bwhahahahahahahahahahaha.
I'm tired.
> To quote a cretin, "I didn't inhale!"
HA!
The declassification of it doesn't mean too much as most officers were cautioning persons with small amounts anyway. All it has done is formalise what the officers have been doing informally for the past couple of years.
But I don't believe it should be legalised.
So Bell has never dropped a piece of litter in his life or committed any crime, no matter how minor it may be? I simply don't believe it.
On the subject of cannabis, I think it should be used for medicinal purposes. Just the other day I was reading about a company that had bee give formal authorisation to grow cannabis in secret warehouses and to supply them to sufferers of related medical problems. The company was to develop a spray for use rather than a substance to be smoked. So Bell, if the government have authorised the use of this, does it still make any users wasters?
On a more personal level, I think excessive smoking of cannabis can have certain mental effects in users that have a previous frail mental disposition. When I was a student I used to occasionally smoke weed but I haven't touched it in about 4 years. I grew up and stopped taking it. Some people can do that easily while others find it incredibly diffcicult to stop smoking cannabis. It's quite a perplexing drug due to the different emotional states it can evoke in users.

I was once smoking cannabis whilst driving when I ran over a policeman at EXACTLY 46mph. (I saw it on his radar when I was pushing him into the ditch at the side of the road).
Small world.
