Well, the drug is being (or has been) downgraded to class C. What does this mean? The government are keen to point out that it is still illegal, that those in possession will still be arrested.

On the news tonight, they used the phrase "Cannabis, a drug tens of thousands of people choose to smoke each week". I think they are seriously underestimating how widespread its use is. I wager everyone on here knows somebody who smokes it, I certainly do. Could decriminalizing the drug work in this country? There are huge benefits for the government in the way that it would free up a lot of police time, which could be used for catching those dealing/possessing harder drugs.

Is there any point whatsoever in downgrading the drug as they have done?

Do you have any views on the drug, or the questions I have asked above?

Lying b£s**tard. More like you typed it in anger then did a retake along the lines of "sh*t he has a point and it looks a bit sick what with me being the mod here, better pretend I was joking".

Was**ter.

Belldandy, it seems you have this one vision in life which totally ignores and blanks out anyone else's point of view.

People use Cannabis for all sorts of reasons in this world and will continue to do so there is nothing anyone can really say or do which will change that, one of the many reasons why the drug has been downgraded so that the Police can concentrate on the 'real' criminals in this world.

Also, the waster's in this world are the drug dealers, the murders, the rapists, thieves, crack/heroine users etc not someone who is minding their own business going about their normal day taking small doses of cannabis yet not causing any harm to anyone but minding their own business. If I sat in a park and drank a bottle of wisky, I would be causing a lot more harm to my body then say smoking a few spliffs yet because of legality reasons it is fine for me to do so.

Cannabis is illegal yes but if it wasn't for the country making so much money out of Ciggaretter and Alcohol then they would be illegal too, its just in this case the government do not want to legalise another, tempted as they maybe from all the taxation they could receive from it.

I don't see how someone can be a'waster' for using small dose's of it specially if you have an health problem like MS for which Cannabis is used as a cure.

Tell me one thing, if Cannabis was legalised and a docter prescribed someone cannabis as a medicine to cure a health problem 'a waster?'

People need to open their eyes a bit more and consider other people's views and reasons before they are labled something they aren't. Stick and Stones mate, but in reality a lot of people will probabaly succeed in life more than you and will have used cannabis at sometime in their lifetime.

Jeez, are you lot brain dead or something?

If some of you had a brain cell you would know that Timmargh had been making fun of my labelling criminals wasters. Just for the brain deficient morons here, that's criminals=wasters.

Right?

Then Goatboy makes the huge leap that my waster comment referred to Timmargh being in a wheelchair. Which to my mind shows that the only discrimination in this is the fact that someone can assume such a comment refers to a disability. But oh no, Goatboyt hadn't actually read the topic back to where the waster comment originated.

So if you lot want to continue to assume that the waster comment was referring to any disability then you can, but it is you and not I that has made that assumption.

By the way, has anyone mentioned to Bell that most of the shadow cabinet (that's the Tories; I'd best make it clear for him judging by his continual failure to understand the most elementary of points) have admitted to smoking cannabis?

Doesn't that mean that his beloved Conservatives are...well, wasters?

Iron helps us play?

I'd like to see you try and play when my magnetic army of steel robots ever manages to leave the metal hangar in which I created them. For some reason they keep sticking to the ceiling.

I've got a brilliant anti-drug slogan:

Don't be a DOPE, don't slide down that rope, you'll get blisters.

No hang on that's a safety in PE one.

Don't let anyone stick their pipe up your crack.

Er hang on; take a trip to the seaside but don't swim after eating a meal of lead and ballbearings.

Jeez... I didn't actually wish a crippling disease on Bell. I wasn't sitting there with my eyes closed, clapping my hands and chanting. It was my way of responding to a frankly heartless post from Bell suggesting that perhaps if he had any experience in the matter, maybe he'd be more accepting of other people's opinions.

Hmm, if it was light hearted, then how come you added "And I mean that more than you might think"? If that's a light hearted response, then it's rahter frightening to hear.

Why? Why must they have to enhance their enjoyment through some means within the confines of the law? Aside from "It's illegal", what's your beef with cannabis?
