...megastore, because I keep spending all my money on CDs and DVDs. I completed my Supergrass collection by buying their first two albums (I only had copies), and got the only Beck album I'm missing (Mellow Gold). Next up, Gold Soundz to complete my Pavement collection. I've only had my student loan a week and I've already spent £100 on various media that I've had queued up for months.

hmmm student loans. I chose not to take one out this year and am now reaping the benefits. I'm currently sizing up all the stuff I don't use to sell. Wanna buy a faulty PS2?

You're forgetting Virgin overcharge drastically, almost as much as HMV.

Look out for a Crash records store, good prices there.

With students country-wide complaining about the debts they are likely to be burdended with after leaving university, you come on here and start telling people you're spending too much money on crap you don't need?

People like you deserve to have to pay top-up fees.

Hey, I accepted that I'll have debts when I leave University - that's my problem. If you look about you'll see my post on asking for a solution, not more demos and whining. And I haven't bought anything (literally nothing, not even a pint) for about 3 months because I've been careful with my money.

And I never said I didn't need it. I'd have bought dozens of CDs if it was done on an impulse - this is stuff I've been after for ages, but have avoided until a time I can afford it. And you don't even know my financial situation - do I work? Did I win Who Want's To Be A Millionaire?
