I think it'd be great. It's Nintendo we're talking about. If Sony did it, I'd be far more secptical because I don't trust Sony to make something ingenius. Whereas Nintendo, I do.

I'm reserving my opinion until I actually get a chance to play it, too - I just fail to see why they choose to invest in something like this when the GameCube is obviously struggling. Perhaps it would be a good idea sometime, but money spent on advertising/whatever else sells a console would be a better idea now.

A step in the right direction. For too long now I've been insisting that PCs should come with two screens as standard, one smaller than the other. Home consoles may have trouble adapting to the idea, as they require TV support to work, but there is easily room for handheld PCs and consoles to take the new direction.
With the Gameboy raking in so much cash for them, I doubt they'll be going anywhere.
According to Nintendo they've actually managed to regain 2nd place in worldwide sales over Xbox.
Whether their figures are accurate though, remains to be seen.
