Unless they are helped out of this downturn in form and finance, yes. Whatever happened to the consortium headed by the wealthy Arab sheikh?

It'd be sad to see them go down, but it now looks inevitable.

They should have beaten us today, or at least got a draw. We were terrible and the 2 - 0 at half time was flattering for us.

Leeds only seem to have 2 players with any enthusiasm, Smith and Pennant.

Shame really but looks like they're on their way to the Nationwide or worse :|

It's always been like that. It's just because some top teams have serious problems: In the mid-1970s, a few years after scoring some great results, including doubles, Arsenal finished 2 points above the relegation zone.

I suppose so, but illustrious teams have always had bad slumps. In this time , mediocre teams (Such as Bradford, Nottingham Forest, Watford and Sunderland) have been relegated as well, as have average ones such as Blackburn and Charlton.

There will alwys be teams slumping; it's just that the numbers have increased recntly due to the immense financial pressures placed on clubs these days.
