English teacher's r starting 2 get worried about recent examples of bad English cropping ^ in their pupils' work.
They blame txt mssging, online discussion boards and online gaming 4 the more frequently occuring traits apparent in written work handed in by the pupils, who more and more r tending to use 'netspeak' as part of their normal language.

The 10dency 2 replace the word 'to' with '2', words like 'mate' and 'anyone' being replaced with 'm8' and 'ne1', r just some examples of what school children r inserting in2 their essays.

Be4 we know it, netspeak will have integrated itself in2 our written and spoken language, and English as we know it will have died out al2gether.

It must stop now, b4 it's 2 l8.

I think you can beat Tolkien, maybe when they were released they were the best, but ive just finished reading the trilogy for the second time, to be honest i found it a bit of a chore half way through. Terry Goodkind's stuff is MUCH better, its worth getting hold of if you can, believe me!

LOTR still rocks though. U can't beat Tolkien, even if u can't spell it. Itz the best trilogy ever written, u cannot deny it.

Resistance is futile. Do not retali8.

I've read the Dark Material Trilogy. It was quite good. I like the idea of Daemons (the part of your soul that lives outside of your body)

If anyone likes fantasy books (no not THAT sort of fantasy!), then i would recommend an author called Terry Goodkind, he is writing a series of books called The Sword Of Truth and they are amazing!

Check out www.terrygoodkind.com for more details.

The Taming of the Shrew was gr8, but I prefer stuff by Feist, Grisham and Wilbur Smith myself, but that's really just my personal taste. I always like books that r written in proper English rather than olde English.
