What do you think? Could you live in a villa in the med, permanently? Or is it a case of 'A nice place to visit, but wouldn't wanna live there'?
My mouth is watering looking at all these bright sandy beaches (weird I know, sand isn't very good for your teeth). All we have got to look forward to here is 2 months of sun, and 10 months of freezing cold rain/sleet/crap. Even a bin man in Mallorca is probably happier than someone with a 'good' job here, simply because of the laid back lifestyle.

ha ha. yep, they are certainly something. I find her 'bubblyness' charming, but get the strange feeling that if you were in the room with her for more than an hour, you'd be tearing chunks of flesh off your face.
I like it here despite its many flaws. I wouldn't mind a holiday home or whatever, but it would take a bit for me to get used to living somewhere without much rain.
Colorado is nice, but a bit too warm for me. I'd pick North Dakota or somewhere stupid like that.

Clean, neat and attractive. No rubbish, no gum, no dog excretement.
Thats why i'm ashamed to live here.
Lately we've been having pretty good summers, and though the sunshine makes me feel better, it's still never a real solution.
But living by the sea, nice weather all year, yeah, it sounds good.
Just probably not a cure for all our problems.
I'd still love to get out of this country though. Not sure where to yet, maybe New Zealand....

Yup, that's what's tempting me. Only problem is, I'd have to put up with the government (which will hopefully change for the better when the time comes for me to move) and the over-patriotic yanks themselves.
I can deal with that though, if it means fantastic weather, lifestyle and costs!
not like the uk - minging rain top to bottom 300 days a year.
When I can afford it, I'm upping and moving to Florida or Cali. Guaranteed*
*if I can afford it, of course!
