Called Homeworld 2

It's crap and it doesn't run on my 'brand new computer' as in the bestest specs every... needs some obscure graphics engine or whatever and what I did play the graphics are like an old X-Wing V Tie Fighter game.

Bah, so what PC game(s) should I get for £30?

Yup.

But a 5200 WILL run HL2 and Doom 3, yes?

Ok, just pointing out that the card already owned by "whoever" may have been more capable then the FX5200 i.e. GeForce 3 and above.

Well, yeah. I had onboard graphics on one of my old comps, and it was terrible. I'll upgrade to a higher FX or a Raedon in a year or so. My PC can handle Deus Ex on a medium setting, and according to SR's mag it can handle Half Life 2 and Doom 3. If it doesn't, I'm suing SR :D

An FX 5200 might not set the world on fire, but it would at least be better than an onboard graphics chip.

Best sticking with whatever you've got then.

We're not all that rich (:P), so we have to make do with a GeForce FX 5200 :D

Better yet the Sapphire 9600XT 256Mb version for £140 with free Steam subscription. Steam lets you download Half Life and all the mods, Half Life 2 as well when it comes out.
