Just sorting out my latest batch of domain renewals...

I have a couple of .eu domains due for renewal on 24/9/9

I have previously received the renewal reminder email (2/7/9) and the domains show 'orange' (expires soon) in my MyFreeola domain portfolio.

But when I try to renew I receive:

"xxxxxxxxxxxxx.eu 24/9/09 (50 Days) Cannot Renew Yet"

Is it me or 'you' ?
Thanks.

Right, you will get an 90 reminder for other domains, which has a paragraph saying .eu's cannot be renewed until they have only 30 days left. At 30 days you should then get a reminder for the .eu's. You will then get one last reminder 3 days before the domain expires.

You 2 .eu domains will now get the 30 day reminder tomorrow. and the last chance reminders will be fixed today as they were not being sent at all!

I think you're correct Hmmm. Looks like the script that is responsible for the 30 days reminders for .EU's has been disabled. Gice me a few moments (hours) and I'll have it re-written as the process has changed. Could you let me know 1 of the .eu domains of yours that is within the 30 days period please?

Edit: sorry, meant 3 day reminders. Emails are sent 30 days before expiry (still being sent) and 3 days before expiry.

Ok - you've lost me now!
Do you need any more info from me?

Where you say "30 days before expiry (still being sent)" - I take it that's part of what you've fixed as I didn't get an email?

My records show you sent an email on the 2 July for these two .eu domains and a .com. I could renew the .com but had been waiting for the 30 day 'eu' period to begin.

You will get more reminders anyway. I am sure you have had experience of .eu long enough to know you are alerted daily when it reaches the 30 day mark? If not you do. Or at least with us anyway, as you can not renew them after they expire at all, we kind of "remind you lots"

Hi Freeola,
Just to pick up on this old thread - re .eu TLDs

I have a couple expiring on the 24th Sept.

As pointed out in this thread you can't renew .eu domains in the same time scales as .co.uk and .coms you have to wait for the final month.

In theory from what I've read here and the note in the initial email reminder (see below) I should have started to receive more renewal emails in the last couple of days?

"Customers with .eu domain names will not be able to renew their domain until 30 days before the listed expiry date. A separate e-mail will be sent on that date to confirm the beginning of the renewal period."

I haven't got a problem with not receiving the reminders (as I've got a backup system in place!) but thought it was worth pointing out so you can take a look at things :¬)

Thank you for reminding me Huh..... I am but one man, remind me if you wish and I will see what I can do. Although if I can not provide any more information than has already been stated (such as your "Getting spam" thread) then I will not be updating them. As I can't. No problem with you asking stuff though.

I spent £99.98 today renewing the domains your system allowed me to - hopefully I'll remember to renew the ones I was asked to renew but couldn't...!

Walnut, there are a couple of others posts where you said you would get an update.

Can I let you find them or would you like some help :¬P

Just to keep you informed o noticer of noticeable things ;)

We shall be adding an extra paragraph to the email to explain the process of .eu domains, and looking at further options at a later date.
