Ello. does anybody know what that phrase is that's said when somebody is arrested. it's something like "you are under arrest for blah blah. you have the right to remain silent, everything you do say may be given in evidence" and i'm sure there is something about harming your defence but hey. It's really random but i'm really curious..

Something I've noticed EB. Whenever a policeman puts someone in the back of their car, they always push their head down. Surely they can duck themselves. Or is there a reason behind this?

So have you patted your baton in your hand and said "Oi, oi, oi, oi!" while chasing someone?

We have to put it in plain English.

If someone doesn't understand, do you just say it again or knock them on the 'ead?

My first Friday night shift involved me out as a "visual Police presence" at put and club kicking out time.

It has pros and cons.

HA! Methinks not.

The previous night shift I had to make two arrests, conduct searches of the people, patrol for a while in a car, get called to a neighbour dispute and common assault stuff.

In all the shifts I have worked I have had a total of about 1 hour break time.

So they haven't resorted to giving you a fully loaded shotgun and setting you on your way to deal with the scum of the streets, then, English?

Give it time.
