well its as reactioary, as the plonkers who say we are out of contention.

2-0 up against pompey bout 70 gone. (Bridge, MUTU!!!)

Its about as moronic for me to make that kind of claim, that we're going to win the league, because we're beating portsmouth, as it is for people to write us off over a couple of bad results.

Indeed, but boro do actually have a good defence.

And as many a pundit has said are "one goalscorer" away from being a decent team.

the problm with real madrid is that they have no defensive substance. The "you score 4, we'll score 5 or more" policy doesn't always work. They had no defence before the summer and now they've sold makalele and released hierro have even less. If they get bad luck and start hitting posts or having shots cleared of the line they invariably lose, as time goes on the other team digs in then counters and real have nothing at the back to stop them. They need more balance and balance is something chelsea have in abundance.

We have easily the best defence in the country. and a "second defence" that would rate in the top 5. And we have Makalele in front of them, much the same as arsenal have viera.

Chelsea have a very good squad on paper and the likes of Lampard and co show that. The only downside is that they have only played half a season together which means they are not as strong as they will be.
                                                                         
It's like Real Madrid. You'd expect them to win every match with the likes Zidane, Beckham, Ronaldo, Carlos and co. They struggled to beat a team a division below them in the cup, which tells you something.

I think Chelsea will need 2-3 seasons before they win the Premiership, but I could be wrong. They are definitely a title challenging team, but need more time to gel for me.

our centre mids and left mids are pretty damn lethal, Lampard is the midfielder scoring and playing with the most consistenency. Makelele is awesome. You just have to look at the fact that helguera and zidane are still moaning about not having him around.

Duff is the best player positionally at he club.

The right side is where we have a deficiency, If figo is the Player who joined us, we would have the best midfield in the world by a long shot. and midfields win championships

They may have bought Makelele in to partner Frank Lampard, but I still don't think they have that problem sorted - which is why it is quite likely Abramovich will be offering more ludircrous amounts of money for the services of Roma's Brazillian international Captain, Emerson.

I think they sorted that problem out when they bought Makelélé. Also Lampard is the best Central Midfield player in the country at the current mo. And with Cudicini between the sticks.....its very hard scoring past them at all.
