I have a Toshiba laptop with CD/DVD R/W drive. It works fine with music CD's BUT I cannot get it to play a DVD video (The Terminator, to be precise) It recognises the D drive and shows me all the files whichh have the following extensions:.BUP .VOP and .IFO
Do I need a special program to run this. I have WIndows media Player on my pc.
Any help would be appreciated.

As far as can see the only software I got was Windows Media Player and this does not recognise the files. I obviously need something else which I think is a bit Cheeky because I expected to be able to play video's. I suppose both powerDVD and Windvd have to be purchased. Is there anywhere where I can get them free?
Check the CD that came with your laptop/DVD drive. There should be some free software provided. If not Windvd or PowerDVD
