Tottenham Hotspur have outraged supporters by making a good signing in the transfer Window. David Pleat has announced that Spurs the 12th best club in london have signed Micheal Brown from sheffield United. 26 year old Brown score over 20 goals from midfield last season in the first division and should help stabilise the midfield a bit.
Gus poyet has expressed his fury at no longer being the youngest player in the team. actually, In fairness to spurs they are doing a better job this season, although they have collapsed they are making some encouraging signings for there fans. If the stories of a 15 mill budget are true for the transfer window it should really all go into buying a midfield. Brown is a god start, and they already have davies. Sean Davis is probably there best option, he blatantly still wants to leave fulham and 4-5 mill should do the trick. Or they could try and sign petit of chelsea as he would cost very little and would be solid for a couple of seasons till they can find a better option due to improved position or player availability. I then suggest a Bobby robson style raping of the 1st division youth systems (awaits g glitter jokes)with Notts forest order of the day. Andy Reid and Dawson the players they should buy. And then we have a spurs that could start performing with european pretensions.

Whoa a half decent signing. I was amazed as anyone when he actually decided to come to us. Of all the teams that would have had him , he comes to relegation threatened spurs.

Stick him, Dalmat and Davies in the middle and that's a top draw midfield.

signing Brown is a great idea. He's consistent, potent, aggressive and won't take a long time to adjust to the Premiership. Shame Zamora and Postiga haven't done very well, though.

That would be champo tinka. Diego was an essential part of the Santos team in the 2002 season. Robinho is very good but diego was a driving force. (i actually watch brazilian football rather than read about it)

They better hope he doesn't know anything about english football then because otherwise they have no chance of signing him.

United are meant to be after him as well and after seeing some of the Santos games on C5 i hope they do get him. Looks a good player

It is a shocker. Spurs are actually gonna sign a good player. Oh well fingers crossed, he's like all other spurs signings.....good players until they go to spurs, (are any examples really needed? If u insist...Postiga, Zamora, Poyet etc etc)

I reckon they should stay at Sheffield United and pick up Phil Jagielka before goin to forest. Yeah sean davis would be a great signing, but I don't think he'll move.

yes, but the odds of him actually going to spurs i rate to be somewhere about 3000/1. I would stake money on latvia winning the euro champs before i bet on diego joining spurs. They need to build rather than try for things that will never come off. Keane and Kanoute are perfect examples of buying obtainable quality, rather than chasing pipe dreams.
