Nope, they sell for that fairly frequently. Although the RRP is £510, it just wouldn't be competitive at that price hence you can find them at £300 to £320 regularly.

pessimist ;)

the cheapest u'd get a lp studio 4 is about £600.

oh i don't know mate, not 2nd hand....
i've seen a few around

hmmm, there's not a GREAT deal of difference between the 2..
the Epiphone Customs are pretty nice though, there's not that much between then and a gibson Studio....

i managed 2 get 1 in flamed maple finish (not
> photo-top) for 300.

is that an epiphone standard?

I can't stand Gibsons. They just con't appeal to me at all. And if you're going for a Strat it's definitely worth splashing out a little more for an American model.

For £329 I would just buy a brand new Mexican Strat....

For £350, and a change from a Strat, go for an Ibanez RG270(?) normally £299. And throw in a pedal.

Not a hope. the cheapest u'd get a lp studio 4 is about £600. unless u want 2 get an epiphone, then u could get a studio for about £250. u mite aswel go 4 a standard though, they're much better than the studios. i managed 2 get 1 in flamed maple finish (not photo-top) for 300.

hehe, for £350 i'd get a 2nd hand mexican strat, sand the neck slightly for a thin D profile (more comfy for soloing.. well, if you play with the "proper" thumb-in-the-middle-of-the-neck-rear manner :) ), fit a Hot Rails in the bridge position and rock myself silly :)

if you had any more you COULD add a Floyd Rose bridge/nut, but only if yer a real trem-fan...
personally i'm a Gibson man, so of course first i'd check the guitar mags to see if anyone was sellign a Les Paul Studio for £350... just to add to the collection ;)

All Yamaha Pacificas have bridge humbuckers. Once you get up to the 8-series you get Seymour Duncans, hmmmm.

And the RGX121s is a relatively decent guitar, its what I'm currently using and today can be picked up for around £200 which is pretty much the cheapest you can go for a guitar that won't fall apart. Mine lasted about a year before requiring a full service and repair job to sort the intonation. But bear in mind if you do splash out the money for a decent guitar right at the start you save yourself alot of potential hassle.
