Its more an action/adventure/RPG of the Fable nature from the looks. But you have multiple playing paths which is always good for playability.

White Knight Chronicles released Nov '09 Q&A
More Final Fantasy style'd then DA:O and apparently with great online capabilites so..... much awaited.

Demon's Souls released Oct 6th Info
More action/RPG again but hey, we can't afford to be picky. Game footage looks ok, and previews seems decent. The online aspect seems good, allowing users to pop in and help youat any time if you wish, but this quote troubles me "but we were told that at a certain point in the game--once you've received a particular stone--you can force your way into another player's game and vice versa."

Tis down there with FF8 on my least favourite FF's

Hmmm maybe. I agree with the char choice, Paine....why bother ?:S

But Yuna was ok, like all "love interests" in FF's in my opinion. Sensitive, but determined, honest and true.

Anyway the battle was pretty much just "average", not the best by far I'll say. Think it's safe to say neither of us thought FFX-2 was the best eh? :D

Well i didn't like Yuna in the first one so having her back wasn't a good start, plus Paine was garbage as well. So i didn't like the story which for an RPG is pretty integral. The changes to the combat system i also didn't like. I liked FFX, but X-2? nope, and it's a great example of why there shouldn't be a FFVII remake/sequel

X-2 not 12.

Too me I didn't see what the fuss was about with X-2. yeah it was prob the worst FF but it was still an enjoyable game. It was a money spinner but kept me entertained well enough.

Yeah i have to agree with hack and slash, it keeps me entertained for an hour then i am over it.

Didnt know the man behind 12 was heavily involved in 13 - maybe he learnt a lesson and i will get the game regardless because i love Final Fantasy and i have to keep up the faith lol

Far as Demon Soul's go, you can import that from play asia now, the manual will be in korean but apparently the game itself is in 100% english

Aye i know FF13 isn't an action rpg, was referring to the others, FF is meh thanks to how awful the recent games have been from Square and isn't the guy who was mainly responsible for FFX-2 working on it? That's definitely a warning sign for me, hopefully there'll be a demo first.

Cross Edge is fine, it's mainly the graphics that put people off and most sprite based games get low marked because of it because they don't have the OMG REAL LIFE GRAFIX!!! which will also harm Agarest (though that did come out in 2007 in Japan). 232 users on gamefaqs ranking it at 8 out of 10 sounds about right for it.

And i'd rather have no RPG's than boring hack n slash for 30 hours bore-a-thon's seeing as it equates to the same result on my purchase list. The sooner they get back to turn based or strategy systems (which the DS is overloaded with i'm glad to see) the better.

Cool - i just got Tales of Vesperia so hopefully that will be good and one to add to the "great rpg list"

I liked the previous titles, so i have high hopes.
