I return to the site after a year or so away, to find that ordinary "General Chat" has taken over from beloved FOG Chat.

Blah.

Here's a competition (no prizes).

Q1. How many years out of date is this paragraph (below) and where did I get it from?

One new "Notable" is elected every three months, in respect of their contribution to making the Future of Gaming forum (in the Open Forums) a very special place.

Q2. What's an "Open Forum"?

Nice to see that things are kept so up to date.

Put one in Mole Valley. It's one of the richest areas of Britain, so there'll be plenty of custom. And Egham is too far away to be convenient....

Can't get the delivery vans there and back in a day

CORRECTISSIMO

There were Game Forums, for specific games, and Open Forums where you could talk about anything. There were too many Game Forums for it to be workable so they were abandoned a LONG time ago.

I see FOG Bridge is still standing. Now all we have to do is get rid of the creatively named "General Chat" and we can return to our former FOGtastic greatness.

Are Open Forums none-game specific forums? I remember something like a Bomberman forum.

Probably wrong. I also remember that text being there when I first joined, so about 2-3 years?

I think if you click on 'Open Forums' it goes to the 'Chat Rooms' menu...
