Errm that is all
Although they sing about love too much
Ranges from Lionel Ritchie to Marshal Jefferson to Michael Jackson to Rammstein to Basement Jaxx.
It's just that the Beatles sound like crap.

knowledge to do so? what knowledge do I need beyond their music?
Go on, I'll sit here and wait for a decent reaction to that queston.

There seems to be a problem understanding what my point is. I couldn't give a to*s if he hated The Beatles or not, its the fact that he'll happily slate them without having the knowlegde to do so.
but your right, i should leave him alone, its like arguing with carrot.

Yeah, I can understand that, but I didn't like them them. I doubt listening to them now would change my opinion. I wasn't "forced" but more of a case of that was on when I was around at their house. I don't complain when listening to other peoples music (I have a mate who listens to Gabba style techno. Terrible, but hey, it's his choice ;) ) but it soesn't mean I like it.
These lads which I mentioned told me all about the meanings behind the songs, the background, the members life stories etc etc, so I'm not uninformed on them, I just don't like their music unfortunately. I'm more of a rock / industrial / metal / agressive / dance (Underworld, Orbital et all) man myself.
> Nevertheless, i accept you don't like them.
Thanks. Sorry to go off on one. I should have realised, but I've had this argument many, many times before, and when people in the past don't accept *why* I don't like them, they tend to get all huffy. If you didn't, apologies. If you did, glad you accept my reasons :)
> Sorry to hear about you being ill as well.

YOU COMPLETE BLITHERING MORON!
How little I know? I've heard the f'*king music, it's all I need or want to know in the subject. please please tell me why I would ever bother to find out any more about a band when their chief attribute - the music - literally makes me feel ill? I would really love to know your reasoning behind that.
Furthermore, why I would think that because the repressed teenagers that enjoyed Beatles music at the time allowed the stuff to "change the face of music", I should not simply "dismiss" them - again because their chief attribute is a bunch of dyspeptic toss - is quite simply beyond my ability to understand.
AND FURTHERMORE IN YOUR DELUDED BLITHERING STUPIDITY you think that because I didn't want to listen to it, my opinion is further irrelevant to me?
Jesus f'*king christ you're stupid. Yes, I was effectively forced to listen to the Beatles, among other things thanks to the tastes of those surrounding me as I grew up. Does that mean my opinion of them is wrong? Is it f'*k as like you pathetic little gobshite.
I don't like them, you do. I will never like them, you probably always will. Don't try to come up with stupid reasons why your opinion is better than mine you annoying little philisine.
But you're not allowed to knock Oasis :)
Fair enough Pandaemonium, although their is a distinct pattern emerging. You, as Insane Bartender claims, were forced to listen to The Beatles. No music was ever created with the intention that the listener is being forced to hear it - of course your not going to like it in this case.
If you sat down of your own accord to listen to The Beatles then you might enjoy it. Unfortunately for you, you just seem to have had a bit of a bad experience with The Beatles' music.
Nevertheless, i accept you don't like them.
Sorry to hear about you being ill as well.

*sigh*

Proof, as if i needed it, you know nothing about The Beatles. Lennon was hardly the chief songwriter, he and McCartney wrote songs together, McCartney filling in pieces in Lennon's songs that he couldn't fill and vice versa. As if you hadn't noticed, the songs are credited as Lennon/McCartney. Secondly, the very idea that you think Mark Chapman shot Lennon because he thought the music was sh*t is nothing short of laughable.
I'm shocked by jus**t how little you know on the subject yet you remain defiant, s**tubborn even, in admitting that you know nothing about The Beatles. Obviously, you have a problem with realsing when your wrong because, unfortunately for you, you're so far up your own a-hole.
> As I said, you want to love it, fine. You want to hail it as the be
> all and end all of music, fine. I'm not goin to s**top you. What angers
> me is your idiotic pretentious s**tupidity at believing that my opinion
> is invalid for not sharing your love of the beatles.
You fool, you completely missed the point. Your opinion isn't invalid because you don't like them, its because you aren't giving a reason for not liking them, you're jus**t dismissing them as 'Crap' without any further explanation as to why you hate a band that changed the face of music (for the record - thats not my opinion, its the truth). Were you not taught in English at school to back-up opinions with reason? More improtantly, did you even attend a school?
> Furthermore,
> your s**tupid assumption that because I don't like them, I haven't
> lis**tened to them is jus**t plain dumb.
I think you yourself proved that you haven't lis**tened to them by carelessly blurting "never through choice" (whatever that means - someone forced you to lis**ten to The Beatles??). Obviously if you haven't taken time to sit down and lis**ten YOURSELF then your not going to enjoy it, you should give it a try sometime, its quite good y'know.
> As for namecalling, that's what I resort to every time I'm talking to
> idiots, so don't take offence.
Witty, im sure.
