I knew I liked them but I'm listening to them more recently and they rule.

I think you are. The only reason I need to dislike the Beatles is the music. Which grates in my ears and makes me want to hurt kittens.

Why can;t you understand that? I don't need to know about Lennon's hippy philosophy or McCartney's failed partnerships with Michal Jackson, or "the fifth Beatle" or whatever crap there is out there to know.

Musicians should be judged on their music, and for me, they rate a big, fat 1 out of ten.

I get this wierd feeling that I'm going to be repeating that yet more before the day is out.

My opinion is NOT better than yours (as explained before), I'm asking you to give reasons for not liking The Beatles which you have failed, twice now, to do because, as you and i know, you know NOTHING about The Beatles. THATS why you should "...bother to find out any more about a band...", you ignorant imbecile, so that you can formulate an intelligent opinion on them, so that you yourself can explain that you hated Lennon because he was pretentious in his song writing, he was lazy in his work, disrespectful to his fans in earlier years, and he left McCartney to work almos**t by himself on the creation of Sgt Peppers which he s**till took credit for as leader of The Beatles.

Yet because you don't know sh*t, you get angry and name call in an attempt to make it look like you knew something. Its really quite sad that you're being like this. First heard of them when "Du Hast" was on the Matrix soundtrack. It's awesome "brain-swallow" music. Turn it on, turn it up, tidy the flat while the walls shake, etc.

Fair play, I know almost nothing about the Beatles too.

I know they're not, and I'm happy to respect other people's tastes in music. I just take offence to being told I don't have the right to say the Beatles were crap simply because I'm not privvy to the entire life histories of each band member.

OK, fair enough, but that type of music isn't exactly associated with the Beatles. I mean, I listen to REM, U2, Pixies, Cream, Oasis, Blur, Idlewild, Led Zeppelin - that sort of stuff. Much more narrow than your taste, but a lot closer to the Beatles. Just trying to show that the Beatles aren't everyone's idea of good music.
