Errm that is all
Although they sing about love too much

Cover of Jonny B. Goode on that is fantastic. Ermmm... that's all I got to say...
For the record, I like The Beatles, but I know quite a few people that don't. Putting CDs on at work when I do evening shifts is akin to trying to win an election. Everyone in the office has different tastes so you almost have to provide good justification for putting something on. Life would be dull if everyone liked the same thing though.
Oh, and if someone had to provide reasons why they hated The Beatles, surely another person would have to provide reasons why they loved them? It's only fair. And you can't say it's because they were 'consistant'. I mean, so is rain in this country, but I can't seem to get enthusiastic about that...besides, Bryan Adams had the No1 for 16 weeks with 'Every Thing I do', doesn't mean I like it.
I like The Beatles because they provided clever harmonies, their music is soothing (to me anyway) and I like their lyrics. There are Beatles songs I don't like as well, just because I like most of their songs, doesn't mean I like them all. They were good live as well and always provided more entertainment than just the music, as can be heard on their Live at the BBC album.
But that is just in my lovely little humble opinion, others feel the need to strangle old ladies when they listen to John, Paul, Ringo and George, which is fine (apart from the strangling of old ladies, which goes on far too much these days...)

so why not make an issue of it at the time?
by doing this he just seems like he's trying to remind everyone how great he USED to be (although i've always found him drab). What does it matter now?? nothing will change, Lennon wil always be remembered more.
sorry but it really seems like he's doing this just for the sake of it, as if anyone cares.
B) The

sure i do!! he was the 2nd fiddle player! ;P~~~~~~~~~

Excitable? Fair enough if you don't like them, but "were complete rubbish" totally discredits the most consistently popular group of all time. I'm not saying YOU MUST LIKE THEM LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, I think that's rather obvious. If you spent as long thinking about and explaining why you don't like someone as you do trying to find ways around the swear filter...
But hey, looks like there's more than enough angst in this thread :)
THEY MAKE MY EARS BLEED!!!
What more is necessary? Do I ask you WHY you like them? No. It's enough for me that you do.

Well, perhaps not.
