Yes it's true. I wrote a review for Lord of The Rings The Two Towers on Gamecube a while back and I recently found out someone else has stolen it. I posted it on SR, www.youngscot.org , www.amazon.co.uk and www.ciao.co.uk under the names of Stephen, Cubist and Streetvibes87. Unfortunately on Ciao someone accused me of copying it from this site -

I told them all the sites I had posted it on and how someone had copied it from me there and they believed me but I still feel bad that someone copied me:( I put a lot of work into that review and don't want him/her getting credit...the b@$tard.

You're printing off all the work you wrote? A bit paranoid, just for a review?

Right I've just finished copyrighting and printing off hard copies of all my creative works i have stored on my computer...well it's still printing actually. HURRY UP! Ahem anyway I contacted them as DW said and asked them to delete it so I have to just wait and see. There are still 6 other sites that I know of that have plagarised my review though and most of them look like they were made in front page by pre-pubescent tw@-|-s who wouldn't care what I said. Such a predicament.

You do retain copyright so you could sue the robbers, the sites hosting the reviews and anybody who looks at you funny.

Posting a review on the net does make it very easy for people to steal it thanks to the wonderful copy and paste commands. Next time don't bother to put effort in, copy somebody elses, two wrongs always make a right.
