Remember that SSX clone Microsoft were happy to show pictures of...?
The pictures are fake! I can't believe it!
Now, I have to say at this point, that Microsoft have not yet come forward to confirm this, (I wonder why...), so this is still unofficial.
But... these are so fake! Hat's off to a IGN forum member for finding this, and Planet Gamecube for the story.
Look at this picture... remove spaces.

Planet Gamecube comment:
"First, there is a lens flare seemingly added to the screenshot that can be duplicated PERFECTLY with a standard Photoshop lens flare operation.
Second, there are white edges all around the snowboarder, and they do not appear to be caused by antialiasing. In fact, it's the same "edging" you find whenever you cut and paste an object into another scene. There is also a curious "green pixel" that is on TOP of the showboarder's face that shouldn't be there. It turns out that this is actually a pixel from the Photoshop lens flare overlay that was not cleaned up.
Lastly, the snowboarder appears to be standing still, but the speedometer shows the speed as 51 MPH."
Next, these two pictures.

Firstly, the backgrounds are both the same... and it's pretty damn obvious that the cloud in the top left corner has been copied and pasted...
This is unbelieveable... but so funny! After my slating of the X-Box's graphics, the only ones I really thought to be impressive, were one RPG's graphics, and the snowboarding one... at least the characters anyway.
Now one is fake! The characters could easily be rendered and copied on... but why the hell did they think they could get away with it? Were they bullied by Microsoft into making sure they had something decent? Was the pressure too emmense?
Judge for yourselves.
> Nintendo Rav.
Sega Rav.
No fakes.
Not quite.....
On Sega DC boxes in America they have screen shots for games- many of which don't exist. At the original launch thing where they announced the DC they had sooooo many screen shots that were faked. Mind u, the demos of the tower of babel are probably the only demos that would actually run on the console they claim to.
Nintendo, after showing loads of demos for the N64 and screen shots launched with ONE game!!! Even 3 monthjs after launch only 4 games were available (this is japan I'm on about).... yet the millions of fakes that nintendo released showed something completely different.
Sonic
Which leaves? :D
Sony did do the same with the PS2...
Its nothing new really?
That's just being silly.
So, once its released, people will be more impressed by the consoles actual capibilities over the expected...
which also means that their sales are working to sell large numbers over a longer period of time rather than expecting high initial sales...
They look good, but are faked, it's not too difficult to see it!!
As for the TTT shots that were mentioned, they weren't 'faked' per se, but just didn't truthfully demonstrate the finished product...
